TAG and absentee bidding has already begun on a series of sales to disperse the remarkable personal collection and early store stock of Connecticut antiques dealer Louise Mondani Graham, who passed in August. From the mid-1950s until 2005, Graham operated her old-school antiques business, Brass Bugle Antiques, from a well-patronized barn in Cornwall Bridge, Litchfield County, Connecticut. The building gained acclaim after it was chosen to be the subject of an artwork by Graham's close friend, the noted New England painter Eric Sloane (1905-1985). This estate includes never seen sketches from Eric Sloane and original art (Oct 24-25th).
Three 26 ft truckloads full of antiques, collectibles, jewelry, & art are being carefully unpacked, cleaned, researched and cataloged - thousands of items not seen in half of a century, a time capsule of history.
We are using Timed LIVE online venues to cater to the people in Conn and New England who knew Louise Mondani Graham and Eric Sloane but cannot participate in person. The online and live auctions will be no reserve, but items will be available First via TAG at 80% of the high estimate. Each item comes with a certificate of provenance.
